LOGISTIC INFORMATION

 Participation requirements:

This is a one-of-a-kind experience designed for Peter’s EMF and EMT students. To participate, you must either be enrolled in one of these two programs or have already completed one.

 What a day on the cruise looks like:

There’s something magical about being on a cruise ship in the morning. Imagine waking up at your own pace, contemplating the sea, and losing yourself in the sound of the waves. After an invigorating breakfast, you immerse yourself in a workshop and discover little-known facts about wine delivered by wine experts. Then we set sail for the islands, where you can unwind and recharge your batteries, swim, dive, sunbathe, or go for a walk. After lunch, we continue exploring the archipelago. You’ll enjoy a Croatian dinner in a unique location, always in great company. Lastly, you’ll unwind and relax with the group, explore the surroundings, or stargaze.

*Please note that no days are identical while cruising. Some meals will be served on board, while others will be at restaurants on land. Some nights we’ll be staying in ports, while other times, in secluded bays. Sea activities are subject to changes due to weather and sea conditions. Being open and flexible is the best attitude when cruising.

 Weather information:

The weather in Croatia during summer is considered to be ideal for cruising. It’s very unlikely that the weather will deteriorate, but if this happens, we will organize an alternative program.

 Arrival and departure:

  • Book your arrival flight to Split Airport (SPU), arriving at Split on June 3rd, Saturday, latest by 15:00 local time (time zone is 2 hours ahead of the UK and 7 hours ahead of New York). The cruise check-in starts at 16:00. The cruise ship will leave the port of Split at approximately 18:00 and head to the first island.
  • Book your departure flight from Dubrovnik Airport (DBV) on June 10th, Saturday. You can book your departure flight anytime, as the cruise ship will dock in the port of Dubrovnik the day before. The check out starts right after breakfast, between 09:00 and 10:00.

The transfers from the airport to the port and from the port to the airport will be arranged for all participants on the arrival and departure days.

 Food:

We provide an onboard menu based on Mediterranean gastronomy. Expect lots of fruits and vegetables (the perfect fuel for our bodies during summer). When staying in ports, you can explore the multitude of bars and taverns and discover the richness and variety of Croatian food on your own or with the group.

 Boat:

The cruise will take place on the impressive Mama Marija, a Croatian private cruise ship that can effortlessly travel to the small bays, town ports, and islands with local ports. It provides more than a comfortable cruise experience. Hint: prepare to travel in style!

 Local travel organizer:

The local travel organizer is the travel agency Hedona Travel j.d.o.o., Zagreb, Croatia.

 What to pack:

Please pack light, as the weather is hot and space is limited. Pack summer clothes, sunscreen, a hat, a jumper, and a wind stopper.

 Travel insurance suggestions:

We recommend purchasing travel insurance that covers sailing around Croatia.

 Refunds:

  • The €997 deposit is non-refundable.
  • Full €5,997 is refundable less the deposit (i.e., €5,000) up to 30 days before sailing.

 Cabin details:

The cabins are divided into female and male cabins. They are all shared with two beds. Each cabin has an ensuite bathroom. The cabins will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. It’s possible to nominate someone you’d like to share a cabin with. Otherwise, we will do our best to pair you with someone. We’ll first allocate the upper deck, followed by the lower deck.
